The St Regis Venice is located steps away from Piazza San Marco and boasts the largest waterfrontage in Venice. The opening follows a two-year renovation of the former Grand Hotel Britannia, which opened in 1895 – the same year as the inaugural Venice Biennale. 11. THE STANDARD LONDON HOTEL, UNITED KINGDOM

Housed in the former Camden Town Hall Annex, a 1974 Brutalist structure that overlooks King’s Cross, The Standard London was meticulously designed in partnership with interior architecture by Archer Humphryes. The hotel has 266 rooms in 42 unique styles ranging from cozy rooms to terraced suites with outdoor bathtubs overlooking St Pancras station. The library lounge, with a carefully curated selection of books pays homage to the building’s original use, with a Sounds studio hosting weekly live music and talks. On the 10th-floor, Chef Peter Sanchez-Iglesias’ restaurant offers live fire cooking and 360-degree views of London.

12. THE INTERCONTINENTAL EDINBURGH, UNITED KINGDOM

Located in the central district of New Town, the InterContinental Edinburgh – The George is surrounded by iconic attractions such as Edinburgh Castle, Charlotte Square and Edinburgh Farmers Market. The property is an integration of Georgian townhouses that were originally built in the 1780s as the most exclusive addresses in the city. The hotel design preserves the original beauty and architecture of the building whilst offering a contemporary, modest luxury design. 13. ANDAZ MUNICH SCHWABINGER TOR, GERMANY

Andaz Munich is the first Andaz-branded hotel in Germany, increasing the brand’s presence in Europe. 14. ANDAZ VIENNA AM BELVEDERE, AUSTRIA

Following Prince Eugene of Savoy, one of the leading developers and art collectors of his time, and the man behind Belvedere Palace, the Andaz Vienna Am Belvedere showcases contemporary local art and design that immerse guests in the history of Prince Eugene as well as the City of Vienna. The luxury lifestyle hotel, designed by the renowned architect Renzo Piano, offers 303 rooms and suites connected by interlocking bridges and sharing a spacious lobby on the ground floor. 15. GRAND PARK HOTEL ROVINJ, CROATIA

On the northern Adriatic, close to the border with Slovenia, the Istrian peninsula is a star attraction; the town of Rovinj lures visitors with Croatia’s first Michelin-starred restaurant (Monte). 16. J.K. PLACE PARIS, FRANCE

The stylish J.K. Place Paris Hotel is housed in the former European Consulate at 82 Rue de Lille. On the back of the Seine opposite Boulevard Saint Germain, the location and building took the J.K. team over 5 years to find. The group’s first venture outside of Italy features a French twist on their signature Italian style, with a design by Michele Bonan. The property has an indoor pool, Sisley Spa and a J.K. food & beverage experience in partnership with Casa Tua. Some of the furniture was found in flea markets across Paris and carefully restored to form talking points in the guest rooms and public spaces.
